– Charles and Sarah are married, these are their photos, not ones I took. –
I’m an exiled Scouser.

I left Liverpool when 17, never to return except to visit my family – and a retired chef, although my working life was quite a chequered one, with jobs as varied as social worker, gardener, hotel manager and on the checkout at Sainsbury’s.
I still love cooking and it’s my role at home.
Watching and feeding our garden wildlife – various birds, foxes and badgers – gives me lots of pleasure and I enjoy reading and keeping my diary up to date.

My health is not great, but I’ve learnt to live happily within limitations.

One illness in my 30s resulted in the loss of a lot of my hearing; a learning curve and a half but one which eventually led me to my happy marriage to Sarah.
I was brought up in the Seaforth suburb of Liverpool near the docks, which adds to my pleasure at living now in Seaford, with views from our window to the sea.

Sarah and Charles made matching offerings to the project. They said this – “We’ve both had to spend time apart, often for health reasons, we always miss each other. Our daughter knitted these for us to keep us company when we’re apart.
