(View in landscape on phones) 2023 and 2024
I hope that ageing will give me the time to love myself.

People tell me that confidence grows with time and experience.
I agreed to have these photos taken in order to feel more self confident.

I’ve recently put on quite a lot of weight and I am not yet used to it. The pictures are quite confronting.

My prop, “Mr Cat” was handcrafted by mum during my infancy. She’s an artist who specialised in sculpture.

Unfortunately I don’t possess her creative talents.
I rediscovered him during a hospital admission as a teenager- my mum regiffted him to me.

I pine to believe in my mother’s unconditional love and for childhood’s veneer of innocence.
I wanted to capture a sense of childishness with my windswept hair and soft toy contrasted with my adult body.

I feel a connection to the woods, I would often go there on days out as a child.
2024
These new photos were taken at the same time as new photos of Fox.
I’ve been photographed by Phil twice.

My body has changed a lot in between!

I’ve put on quite a lot of weight.
I quite like it – I feel all grown up, a woman not a girl.

Change can be unsettling though, as the mind struggles to keep up with the changing landscape of the body.

I hope that no matter how my body changes in future I remember to be kind to it.
