Life is too short to hide away.

When I was younger, in fact for most of my life, I’ve always been shy. I was the one who would stand on his own in the playground, the one who found it hard to talk in business meetings.

I’d never get up on stage and tried to just blend in. So the fact that you are looking at me in these photos is quite a remarkable achievement for me.

In the last five years of my life I’ve changed a lot, started thinking that life is too short to hide away. I’ve joined a gym and lost 5 kilos and I am now much more health conscious.

I’ve grown to love my body, it’s where I live after all, and I want to take care of it and keep it strong and healthy for as long as I can. Life is too short to be shy, I think I look pretty good for my age, and feel proud of my body.

No longer do I want to hide away from the world, this is me and I’m proud for the world to see me like this – this is me. I may not be a bodybuilder or a model, but I love me the way I am, and that’s what matters.

My nickname is Pixie, and the last photo is of a little pixie my friend’s mum made for me in Lithuania. It’s handmade and so unique, just like us all.
